The Pulp Girls are those wild at heart spirits wandering the city streets at night, vintage flask in hand in search of elusive dreams and not-so-elusive parties; that spend their days sprawled out on a thrifted blanket in a meadow, listening to the insect choruses and reading musty first editions; that hold seances in empty buildings and try to make up the scariest stories at the campfire. This tumblr is a collection of all things Pulpy. You should totally hit up THE PULP SHOP, wink wink nudge nudge. Those of us behind the scenes aim to be transient beings, but at the moment, we’re holding steady in both the farmlands of southern Connecticut and the streets of Brooklyn.

We use a Minolta something or other from the 70s and old film. For digital, a Canon 60D. And sometimes, our phone cameras. Effects are achieved with homemade filters.
Our shop is online only, at http://thepulpgirls.com/. We sell vintage clothing from the 1950’s through the 1990’s, in a whole array of styles, from gypsy, hippie angel to punk grunge rebel! Every item is a one-of-a-kind vintage piece: we have only the ONE, and when it sells, it’s gone forever! There’s FAQ’s in our shop for more help with purchasing.

If you fit the look we need, we’ll let you know! However, sometimes, we may wish to go in a different direction. Even if we don’t need you to model and you still want photos taken, we do headshots and portraits of all kinds, so just ask us!
It’d be best if you were in the Connecticut area, or New York (City and surrounding area). However, we are saving names of interested peoples from other locations, just in case we happen to be visit their area, or they come to ours, so don’t let location stop you from contacting us!
Any age, height or weight is okay with us! If you’re able to carry yourself with grace and you’re comfortable in front of a camera, we’re happy!
Sorry! We have a huge huge huge array of photos saved on both of our computers, mainly from random image-liking sites like We Heart It or imgfave, or blogs or just google search, and we have no idea of the original source. If we used your image and you want it credited or removed, just shoot us a message and we’ll be happy to oblige you! Even if it’s not a photo of your own, if you know the original source of an image, I’d be super thrilled to add it to the photo!
